An IoT-Based Real-Time Solar Power Remote Monitoring System Using Solar Tracker System

Solar power generation has significant attention due to its environmental benefits and long-term cost-effectiveness. However, monitoring the performance of solar panels and optimizing their efficiency in real time is essential for maximizing energy output. This paper uses a solar tracking system to present an IoT-based remote observing system for solar energy generation. The proposed system enables the continuous tracking of the sun's position, allowing solar panels to adapt their orientation for optimal energy harvesting. The collected data is wirelessly transmitted to a central server, which is analyzed and made available for real-time monitoring and analysis. The system provides valuable insights for efficient solar power management, enabling users to monitor, control, and optimize solar panel performance. The collected value information from the other appliances and PV panels is transferred to the cloud via a Wi-Fi module (NodeMCU) and Internet of Things technology. Using the connected device makes it deftly accessible for the user to monitor the parameters from the outlying area. The viewer can see previous facts about solar PV systems using a Graphical User Interface. This results in easier and more time-saving ways to stimulate abnormality discernment and execution of the solar plant.
