Several mental disorder symptoms like depression, anxiety, exhaustion, and cynicism can have a negative impact on students’ efficacy, as they can affect their ability to focus, stay motivated, and complete tasks. Thus, the main objective of this study is to find out the association between efficacy and mental disorder symptoms in a large sample of medical students (n = 320). The dataset includes the demographic information of all participants which was collected through a questionnaire and other information like depression, anxiety, cynicism was measured through Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale. Results have shown that anxiety and depression are positively associated with each other having correlation constant(r) as 0.72 and thus impact the efficacy of students having correlation value as −0.45. Thus, with the increase of anxiety and depression, the efficacy of the student starts decreasing.
