Transforming Urban Parking: Intelligent System for a Better City Experience
摘要
The increase in vehicle use has led to challenges such as accidents, congestion, and pollution. One issue is the scarcity and bad management of parking spaces in public facilities. This lack of an efficient system results in inconvenience and congestion, increasing the odds of events like accidents. Temporary parking is also a concern, leading to people using pre-designated spaces or unauthorized areas. The following paper proposes a solution to the problem of illegal parking and a viable, efficient system using a grid data structure. Each lot is tagged for long-term or short-term parking, allowing flexibility for allocation. Users can extend their parking duration with a fee. Dijkstra’s algorithm is used for efficient allocation. This system has the potential to ease parking issues in urban areas and can be scaled when needed.
