Tourism is global and multi-faceted. It is historic and can be traced from empire to civilizations. The quest for tourism travel has prolifically mentioned in various literatures and writings. One of the major components of tourism is medical tourism, which is holistic in nature and is an amalgamation of modern medicine called allopathic medicine, homeopathic medicine and ayurvedic medicine. There is high potential and scope for Ayurveda because of cost and healing without any side effects. Presently, the ayurvedic system is a well-regulated setup in the country. The Indian Medicine Central Council (IMCC) Act of 1970 has recognized Ayurveda as a system of medicine. An assessment of expected and perceived service gap in delivery of services by the ayurvedic wellness centers surveyed was done using five major indicators viz. tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy which are named as SERVQUAL. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the impact of five major indicators. Primary data analyses in the statistical and modeling contours signify that perception of the medical tourism customers was important in evaluating the ayurvedic medical tourism sector in Kerala. In spite of everything, service quality works were prime mover for satisfaction of the customers who were availing ayurvedic medical tourism both from India and abroad. Therefore, each of the service factor indicators was relevant in making the satisfaction level of the customers. The perception satisfaction analysis throws ample inferences for shaping the ayurvedic medical tourism sector in Kerala which is the contribution of the researcher. Service quality analysis using ‘servical’ model is routinely used in many areas and its application for ayurvedic medical tourism for identifying service quality gap in the ayurvedic medical tourism sector in Kerala is a caveat indeed.
