Local institutions are of crucial importance for ensuring local governance, social services and community cohesion, as well as community development. Understanding their life cycle and development is critical for stakeholders. The case study used focus on an organization: CAMPCO. A computational model is used to conceptualize the progression through various phases in the form of a life cycle for the organization and thereby providing a framework on their effectiveness and interactions with their communities.
