The helium extraction industry from natural gas has a history spanning over a century, with large-scale helium extraction plants primarily located in the United States, Qatar, Russia, and Australia, among other countries. This chapter introduces the construction scale, technical characteristics, and main processes of typical helium extraction plants, based on the background and resource conditions of different countries.
