Power Quality Enhancement of Shunt Active Power Filters by Sliding Mode Control Technique
摘要
This study investigates the use of sliding mode control for a three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) to enhance power quality by mitigating harmonics generated by nonlinear loads in power distribution systems. Sliding mode control is recognized for its robust performance in both transient and steady-state scenarios. While it often employs a hysteresis regulator, which can lead to variable switching frequencies, this research achieves a constant switching frequency by modulating the control output. Harmonic and reactive power detection for nonlinear loads is based on the well-established p-q theory. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed control method, a comparison with traditional proportional-integral (PI) control is performed. Simulation results indicate that sliding mode control surpasses conventional PI control, demonstrating its superior performance.
