Renewable energy facilitates the preservation of natural resources by mitigating environmental effects and safeguarding the ecosystem. Renewable energy production is crucial for decreasing reliance on fossil fuels and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. This chapter initially presents the energy scenarios and their global consumption. The following section discusses the current and future status of renewable and non-renewable energy and their types. The following section discusses wind energy and its integration with other form of energy. The fourth section discusses the challenges of wind energy and its integration. The following two sections summarize the chapter and discuss the future scope.
