Assessment of Advancements in Online Examination Proctoring Systems
摘要
An online proctored exam is an Internet-based examination that enables faculty to supervise student’s activities in real-time during the online exam session. Equipped with AI-powered technology, the online proctored exam system monitors students, assisting educational institutions in deterring misconduct. The software restricts access to additional browsers, leaving no room for students to cheat. It ensures that students cannot evade the examination through any means. Moreover, the online monitoring software captures random real-time images of students and sends the screenshots to the faculty. Additionally, faculty can monitor student’s live videos by requesting them to activate their webcams. In this paper, we focus on the existing techniques used in online examination proctoring systems (OEPS), discuss the future of Automated Online Exams, and also discuss the review process steps and all kinds of inclusion and exclusion criteria. We also compare the existing online examination proctoring software available in market and the metrics and features used by them. At the end based on detailed review, the conclusion and future scope will also be discussed.
