An Integrated Water Tracking and Leakage Detection System Using Blockchain Technology
摘要
Water scarcity and inefficient management of water resources have become critical global issues, necessitating the development of advanced technologies for sustainable water conservation and distribution. This paper presents an innovative solution- an Integrated Water Tracking and Leakage Detection System that leverages Blockchain technology for enhanced efficiency, transparency, and reliability in water management. The proposed system integrates Internet of Things (IoT) devices, smart sensors, and blockchain technology to create a robust framework for monitoring, tracking, and managing water distribution networks. The key components of the system include sensor-equipped water pipelines, a centralized data processing unit, and a blockchain-based ledger for secure and transparent record-keeping. The IoT devices and smart sensors embedded in the water pipelines continuously monitor and collect real-time data on water flow rates, pressure levels, and temperature. This data is then transmitted to a centralized processing unit, where it undergoes analysis for anomalies and potential leakages. Any detected irregularities trigger immediate alerts for swift response and resolution. The incorporation of blockchain technology ensures the integrity, security, and transparency of the collected data. Each transaction, representing a water flow or detection event, is securely recorded in a decentralized and immutable blockchain ledger. This ledger is accessible to authorized stakeholders, providing a transparent and auditable history of water distribution and leakage detection activities.
