To address issues of leakage, inefficient distribution, and water scarcity, sustainable urban water management is crucial. An introduction, a summary of water management techniques, the features and operation of water distribution systems, smart systems for optimization, monitoring, and control systems for effective distribution, strategies for water conservation and waste management, analysis of per capita water demand and overviews of desalination plants are all included in this paper on water management in urban areas. A blockchain-based water management architecture incorporating Internet of Things sensors is suggested in the article for precise reporting. To verify and transfer data in real time between sensors and the dashboard for water distribution, the framework makes use of blockchain technology. In order to reduce water waste and improve distribution, it also features a modular API for flow control and leak detection. The recommended strategy might improve water management; its execution is intricate, nevertheless. This paper provides information on water management and proposes a technology for dependable data reporting and effective water distribution that leverages blockchain technology and Internet of Things sensors.

摘要
