Integrating Geoheritage with Cultural Heritage: Strategies for Enhancing Conservation, Education, and Sustainable Tourism
摘要
This research paper explores the integration of geoheritage and cultural heritage to enhance conservation efforts, education, and sustainable tourism. Through case studies such as the Comuniterrae Project in Italy, the Ihumātao Peninsula in New Zealand, and rural geoparks in Western Australia, the paper demonstrates innovative approaches to heritage management that interweave natural and cultural elements. Employing a qualitative analysis complemented by a comprehensive literature review and data analysis, the study compares various strategies and their impacts on local communities. The findings reveal numerous benefits of merging geoheritage and cultural heritage, including improved conservation practices, enriched educational opportunities, and sustainable economic growth through geotourism. The research underscores the importance of community engagement and interdisciplinary approaches in managing heritage sites. It advocates for a holistic approach to conservation that recognizes the intrinsic link between natural and cultural elements, thereby enhancing conservation outcomes and promoting sustainable tourism. The paper suggests that future research should focus on developing standardized evaluation methodologies and comprehensive frameworks for broader application and impact.
