Exploring Synthetic Aperture Radar Image Denoising Artificial Intelligence Techniques and Anticipating New Pathways in Redefining SAR Resolution
摘要
An image is a visual representation of an Object, Scene or concept. It is typically produced using optical or digital technologies and can be static or dynamic. Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging technique is not a new technology which was evolving from 1957 onwards. Due to the miniaturization and optimization of the technological background the applications of SAR image are wider in scope now. High-resolution, broad area imaging is required for applications in Earth resource mapping, environmental monitoring, and military systems. Due to the long range capabilities of radar signals and the power of modern digital electronics for complex information processing, high resolution images are possible. Annoyingly, even with high resolution SAR images the Speckle noise is always accompanied. Speckle noise, a kind of Multiplicative noise as compared to Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), is difficult to handle. The main objective of this research is to highlight the latest trends, gaps and future directions of SAR Image Denoising techniques.
