An analysis of unemployment’s differential impact on economic growth from 2020 to 2021 is provided in this paper. Unemployment has long been recognized as a crucial factor affecting economic prosperity, yet its ramifications have been exacerbated by the unprecedented disruptions caused by the pandemic. By comparing data and economic indicators from the pre-pandemic period with those during the COVID-19 crisis, this study aims to shed light on the distinct dynamics at play. In a world disrupted by disruptive events, this study’s findings should help us understand the complex link between unemployment and economic growth. It examines how unemployment impacted India’s economic growth throughout COVID-19. This project focuses on quarterly data for the year 2016–2021. The results are compared for each year with the lockdown period years and see whether there is any kind of fluctuations in the results as per the year.
