The paper proposed that a solar-based Z-Source Inverter (ZSI) is simulated using MATLAB Simulink. The unique feature of the ZSI is a single-stage power conversion of DC to AC/AC to DC/DC to DC/AC to AC, which is impossible in classical current source and voltage source inverters. ZSI has both buck and boost capabilities and produces wide operating voltages by properly designing the pulses to the inverter, especially due to ZSI’s shoot-through mode. This paper presents the design of the components of the impedance network and the detailed explanation of the ZSI operating modes. The ZSI is developed in MATLAB software. The pulse for the ZSI is generated in simulation and hardware. The Arduino microcontroller is used for the generation of hardware pulses. The results produce a high-quality three-phase voltage, and the harmonic analysis is also performed to validate the output power quality.

摘要
