Digital to analog converters (DACs) serve as a crucial intermediary between the analog and digital realms. Due to the swift advancement of other developing technologies, wideband digital radar and wireless communication, there is a need for high-speed DACs that offer improved performance. The performance of those applications is generally constrained by the high-frequency linearity and signal bandwidth limitations of the data converters, which act as the bottleneck of the system. This paper examines the most advanced technology of high-speed DACs that have been documented in recent years. An analysis is conducted to compare several topologies of current steering DACs.

摘要

Digital to analog converters (DACs) serve as a crucial intermediary between the analog and digital realms. Due to the swift advancement of other developing technologies, wideband digital radar and wireless communication, there is a need for high-speed DACs that offer improved performance. The performance of those applications is generally constrained by the high-frequency linearity and signal bandwidth limitations of the data converters, which act as the bottleneck of the system. This paper examines the most advanced technology of high-speed DACs that have been documented in recent years. An analysis is conducted to compare several topologies of current steering DACs.
