Behavior of Zener Diode for Ac Input and Applications

This research paper presents a proposed system that explores the versatile and practical applications of Zener diodes in controlling DC motors. Zener diodes, renowned for their unique voltage-regulating properties, offer an efficient means to regulate voltage and consequently can be used to control the speed and direction of DC motors. The paper delves into the fundamental principles of Zener diodes and their characteristics, with an emphasis on their breakdown voltage and current-regulating capabilities. The proposed system envisions various applications where Zener diodes could play a pivotal role in DC motor control, particularly in speed control of Dc motor. By harnessing the Zener diode’s ability to maintain a constant voltage across its terminals, this system aims to ensure optimal performance in a wide array of industrial and consumer applications. Additionally, the paper outlines the Zener rectifier with LDR is used to control speed of DC motors in automation and safety, paving the way for a comprehensive exploration of these critical aspects in future research and practical implementations.
