This paper describes an innovative approach to creating a low-tech human-machine dance performance form. LUDDITES is a series of performance experiments based on an interdisciplinary research methodology that explores the potential of using the effects of movements in dance performance and live performance experiments to embody the operational mechanism of human and mechanical organ in human-machine interaction performance. This performance experiment extends the choreographic object in choreography from the human body to a kind of symbiosis between the human and the machine, making the design of the mechanical structure a part of the artistic creation, with the goal of combining the performance creation methodology with the study of human-computer interaction. This research develops new creative methods for post-human performance, exploring new creative tools and narrative frameworks for dance performances involving human-machine interaction. This includes human-centered analysis of movement trajectories, the creation of custom wearable choreographic prostheses designed according to human body mechanics, and explorations of choreographic methodologies.

摘要
