This review is aimed at presenting only the most recent concepts and advances of a great majority bio-sourced, sustainable, green, and high-performance wood adhesives derived from carbohydrates, lignin, and tannins that are actively researched as substitutes for synthetic oil-derived adhesives for wood panels. For all these bio-sourced adhesives the review exposes the considerable progresses which have occurred relatively recently, with a host of new approaches and ideas having been proposed and tested, some even implemented, but even with many more already appearing on the horizon.

摘要

This review is aimed at presenting only the most recent concepts and advances of a great majority bio-sourced, sustainable, green, and high-performance wood adhesives derived from carbohydrates, lignin, and tannins that are actively researched as substitutes for synthetic oil-derived adhesives for wood panels. For all these bio-sourced adhesives the review exposes the considerable progresses which have occurred relatively recently, with a host of new approaches and ideas having been proposed and tested, some even implemented, but even with many more already appearing on the horizon.
