IoT has revolutionized the connectivity of networks in the world. It functions exceptionally in various devices connected to it be it computers, mobiles, refrigerator, microwave, smart watch, home control devices, etc. IoT acts as a global network interconnected devices, and thus, issues like collection and breach of data, data attacks, data vulnerability, fraud, virtual and physical threats as well as security risk pose a huge challenge for the efficient working of the IoT network. This paper has discussed in detail the security, privacy and trust issues in IoT with the help of case studies around the world. It further has discussed the legal and policy regulations dealing with IoT network around the world and has suggested suitable policy redressal for the smooth functioning of the IoT network.
