Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery: Exploring Modern Techniques and Applications
摘要
Foundational plastic and reconstructive surgery is a specialized medical field that deals with the reconstruction, repair, or restoration of a person’s body, typically after injury, disease, or congenital deformities. The aim of plastic and reconstructive surgery is to improve the appearance of the individual. The use of robotics in plastic surgical operations has completely changed the area of plastic and reconstructive surgery. This study provides an in-depth analysis of the present state and possibilities of robotics in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The paper starts off by giving a general review of the different robotics applications used in plastic and reconstructive surgery which include facelift, liposuction, rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty and transplanting, and breast augmentation. The advantages of robotic surgery such as increased precision, shorter operating times, and better results as well as the obstacles that must be solved before robotics can be used more widely are also discussed. The da Vinci surgical system, among other cutting-edge robotic systems currently offered for plastic and reconstructive surgery, is also covered in the study along with their characteristics and capabilities. Also examining the findings of studies that investigated the efficiency and security of robotic procedures in reconstructive surgery. Overall, this article emphasizes the important role that robotics can play in developing plastic and reconstructive surgery and enhancing patient outcomes. Undertaken with the goal of identifying all robot aid applications in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Also, the potential future advancements in robotics for reconstructive surgery, including the incorporation of AI and machine learning to enhance surgical planning and execution.
