Navigating the Perils: Assessing and Mitigating Supply Chain Security Risks in the Digital Age
摘要
As technology continues to evolve and become increasingly integrated into supply chain operations, organizations face new and complex security challenges. These risks can originate from various sources throughout the supply chain, including hardware and software vendors, third-party service providers, and even internal departments. Mismanagement of those risks can lead to large financial losses, reputational damage and regulatory fines. Organizations need to create robust supply chain security programs with routine risk assessments and mitigation tactics in place to combat these challenges. This research looks at the distinct security vulnerabilities in digital supply chains and how to assess and manage these risks. These include supply chain visibility, vendor management practices, cybersecurity best practice and incident response planning. This paper describes a pared checklist of practices that organizations can follow to build resilient supply chains able to survive digital disruption.
