Image encryption is an essential element of modern data security. The primary purpose of this survey is to give a wide perspective on the features of image encryption algorithms. Encryption evaluation parameters and algorithms can be utilized to achieve security. This paper introduces and summarizes the most commonly used image encryption techniques. Analyses have also been conducted on the different image encryption technology attacks and performance metrics. The current methods are examined in terms of key, statistical, and differential analyses. This paper’s primary objective is to present a summary of the features of image encryption methods. The paper’s conclusion discusses important developments in the field of image encryption and points out future challenges.
