The increasing difficulties in preserving voter rights and the mounting skepticism toward both traditional and digital voting systems highlight a critical need for a reliable and transparent electoral solution. This paper proposes blockchain technology as a promising approach, utilizing its decentralization to transform the election process and reduce the risks of manipulation and fraud. The proposed blockchain-based e-voting solutions are defined by their decentralized frameworks, cryptographic security measures, and unmatched transparency, and they harness smart contracts to bolster security and fairness in electoral processes. However, it is crucial to address key challenges, including the protection of voter privacy and ensuring system scalability, for successful implementation. Furthermore, beyond the realm of voting, the broader adoption of blockchain technology encounters obstacles such as scalability issues and opposition from entrenched power structures, which need to be carefully navigated. In conclusion, this research presents a blockchain-based e-voting system, emphasizing transparency, fairness, confidentiality, integrity, and security, all underpinned by the novel Fair Proof of Reliability (FPoR) consensus algorithm. This system offers a promising path forward in addressing the current inadequacies in electoral systems while paving the way for more secure and democratic voting practices.

摘要
