The Impact of Inventory Management on Corporate Financial Risk Management Capability
摘要
Inventory management is a vital governance element in contemporary business operations. Meanwhile, financial risk is also an important business consideration for companies. Inventory management is expected to influence the capital utilization and liquidity of the company, and in turn, affect the financial risk management capability. The study utilizes three independent variables—inventory turnover, days of inventory outstanding, and inventory-to-sale ratio—to measure inventory management, while the current ratio serves as the dependent variable to gauge financial risk management capability. The study collected the sample data and conducted Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis to quantitatively measure the impact of inventory management. The result of the correlation and regression analysis reveals that there is only a significant relationship between inventory turnover towards current ratio, which indicates that from the inventory turnover perspective, inventory management has a significant impact on financial risk management capability. The result deepens the understanding of the relationship between inventory management and financial risk management capability. In this case, this study may provide more scientific evidence and guidance for inventory policies and financial risk management approaches.
