Bio-control agents are important for boosting nutrient use efficiency in agriculture and promoting sustainable farming practices that are compatible with ecological preservation and resource optimization. These agents, including bacteria, fungi, and protozoa, promote nutrient cycling and plant growth by organically altering the soil environment to make them more receptive to nutrient uptake. Recent studies have shown that biocontrol agents can dramatically reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers, lowering the environmental impact of agricultural operations while increasing crop yields. The use of biocontrol agents in integrated nutrient management systems provides a dual benefit: they not only improve soil nutrient efficiency but also play an important role in plant disease suppression, decreasing crop losses, and chemical pesticide use. This abstract studies the methods by which biocontrol agents improve nutrient availability and uptake by plants, with a focus on their interaction with soil microorganisms and the subsequent advantages to crop yield. Furthermore, this study explores the problems and prospects for expanding the use of biocontrol agents in conventional farming systems, highlighting the need for additional research and governmental support.
