Business Intelligence and Balanced Scorecard to Support Decision-Making: A Bibliometric Analysis
摘要
The balanced scorecard (BSC) and business intelligence (BI) are complementary tools that can significantly improve an organization's strategic management and decision-making processes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the two concepts to support the decision-making process in organizations. Based on a bibliometric analysis, the trends related to BSC and BI were analyzed. The data were extracted from the Scopus database (108 documents) and analyzed using the VOSviewer software. The results show a multidisciplinary relationship between BSC, BI, and sustainable development. This coexistence highlights emerging trends such as holistic performance management through a BSC enhanced with BI data and innovative reporting using BI to create dynamic and real-time reports that reflect organizational performance, including sustainability metrics. The research contributes to a broader understanding of the analyzed concepts and to organizations seeking to develop more holistic and sustainable strategies.
