This study reports and discusses fourteen trace fossils with their systematic descriptions, age and palaeoenvironment from the Pokaran Sandstone of the basal Ediacaran Jodhpur Group of Marwar Supergroup from the Pokaran area, district Jaisalmer, western Rajasthan, India. These are identified as Thalassinoides horizontalis, Thalassinoides suevicus, Ophiomorpha nodosa, Palaeophycus stritus, Palaeophycus heberti, Palaeophycus tubularis, Planolites, Planolites montanus, Planolites beverleyensis, Monocraterion tentaculatum, Diplocraterion parallelum, Arenicolites statheri, Cochlichnus anguineus and Taenidium serpentinum. The yielded trace fossils from the Pokaran Sandstone section are well preserved, abundant and mostly composed of decapod crustaceans, shrimps, annelids, polychaetes, vermiform deposit feeders and sea or marine worms. Based on these ichnological records, a shallow-marine depositional environment is suggested for the Pokaran Sandstone of the Jodhpur Group of the Marwar Supergroup.
