This study uses the melt spinning technique to prepare three types of recycled PET filaments. A thorough investigation was conducted into the effects of draft ratio and spinning temperature on the mechanical characteristics of the resulting fibers. Spun fibers were compared. The results show that for the three types of recycled PET chips used, the optimal spinning temperature is 285 ℃ and the maximum draft ratio is 4, and increasing the spinning temperature and draft ratio within a certain range can improve the mechanical properties of the resulting fibers. Compared with virgin PET chips, additives and impurities in regenerated chips seriously affect the mechanical properties of the obtained fibers.
