After-school services are an important part of primary and secondary students’ learning and growth, and also an important educational resource in the era of artificial intelligence. With the deepening of educational reform, artificial intelligence empowering after-school services for primary and secondary schools has become an inevitable trend. The empowerment of artificial intelligence can provide personalized, intelligent, and diversified support for after-school services for primary and secondary schools, and promote the data-driven, innovative, and modernized development of after-school services. However, as an innovation of service mode, artificial intelligence empowering after-school services for primary and secondary schools also needs to follow the basic logic of technology, value, and goal. At present, artificial intelligence empowering after-school services for primary and secondary schools still faces some constraints, including the mismatch of concept, the unsatisfactory effect of intelligence, the lack of support of resources, and the high risk of use at the institutional level. In order to solve these problems, this article explores the effective paths of artificial intelligence empowering after-school services for primary and secondary schools from the aspects of concept empowerment, ecology empowerment, wisdom empowerment, and mechanism empowerment.
