Exploration and Practice of Volumetric Fracturing Interference Prevention in Jimsar Shale Oil Horizontal Well

Since the large-scale construction of Jimsar shale oil, the output affected by volume fracturing interference has increased from 0.57 × 104 to 6.5 × 104 t year by year, and the proportion of production reduction and new production capacity affected by volume fracturing interference has increased from 6.8% to 18.5% year by year, and the contradiction of “volume fracturing interference” is prominent. Accurately identifying the risk points of disturbance and efficiently deploying corresponding preventive and control measures are of great significance to protect the production capacity of old wells, ensure the effect of new wells’ transformation, efficiently complete the construction of national demonstration zones, and promote the revolution of land-phase shale oil. Chemical fluid tracer, high precision real-time remote pressure gauge, microseismic monitoring, distributed optical fiber acoustic sensor (DAS) and other means are used to monitor and analyze the volumetric fracturing interference process. The characteristics, range and main control factors of volumetric fracturing interference are further clarified by comprehensive numerical simulation, in-situ stress study and field test. Research on domestic and foreign measures of volumetric fracturing interference prevention and control, and practice and explore one by one in the implementation area, and finally summarize a comprehensive volumetric fracturing interference prevention and control system of “optimization of pre-fracturing deployment, real-time monitoring and adjustment during fracturing, and reasonable discharge and production after fracturing”. After the application of the system in 2023, the ratio of production loss to new production due to volume fracturing interference in Jimsar shale oil decreased from 18.5 to 15.6%.
