The main strata developed in Gilgarantu Sag is the Cretaceus Saihantara Formation coal seam, the thickness of the coal seam is huge, the average thickness of a single well reaches 110 m. The main reservoir is thick and air content is low. Due to the restriction of the scale of reservoir transformation, it is difficult to have high yield anmethane layer stable production of coalbed methane. In order to control and obtain greater effective control volume, it is necessary to select dessert sections with good compression to crack. Therefore, this paper makes an in-depth and detailed study on the logging division method of the dessert section of Gilgarangtu low-scale giant thick coal seam. A comprehensive logging and identification method for screening high-quality dessert sections of GR-DEN envelope surface is established and evaluation indicators is quantified. The huge thick coal seams of all wells in the Gilgalangtu block are finely divided and the reservoir classification logging interpretation and evaluation plate has been established, which has achieved a better effect and provided technical support for the efficient development and transformation of huge tick coal seams in favorable areas (layer sections).
