Generic submanifolds of a Kähler manifold introduced by the first author in Chen (Monatsh Math 91:257–274, 1981), regarded as a generalization of CR-submanifolds, have been discussed in Sect. 3.13 . In this chapter, we will discuss the results on generic submanifolds of nearly Kähler manifolds obtained in Zhu and Yang (Int Scholar Res Notices 2014:363429, 2014) and Khan and Khan (Bestrage Algebra Geom 50:337–352, 2009).
