The use of a large amount of cement in concrete not only increases the cost but also increases greenhouse gas emissions due to cement production. The energy consumption of the cement industry is currently very high and accounts for about 7% of global CO2 emissions. Research on the production of low-cement concrete not only reduces costs but also reduces CO2 emissions from concrete, aiming for sustainable and circular development. To reduce environmental impact, ensure technical reliability, and increase economic efficiency in the production of commercial concrete, the effective solution is to reduce the use of cement by partially replacing it with various mineral additives. Using mineral additives such as fly ash and slag can not only reduce environmental pollution caused by fly ash and slag themselves but also help reduce the amount of cement, lower costs, and improve the quality of concrete.
