The design of rural landscape environment encounters the issues of irrational water resource utilization and high energy consumption in terms of sustainable agriculture and ecological preservation. As a novel approach, intelligent control technology is frequently applied to agricultural production. In this study, through literature review method, the application of intelligent control technology in rural landscape environment design was comprehensively analyzed, emphasizing three aspect of the technology usage: the application of intelligent technology in rural landscape environment irrigation, the intelligent application of water-saving system and the intelligent application of rural landscape environmental energy consumption. The research found that the power consumption of intelligent control technology fluctuates and the number of degrees is between 80–110, and the water-saving effect of intelligent control technology in rural landscape environment is obvious. Through precise sensors and automated systems, intelligent control technology can monitor the environment and control environmental factors to avoid excessive irrigation and waste of water.
