For most of my career, I have felt that I am not enough. I have worked harder and longer than my male colleagues, I have delivered more impressive results, just to feel like I deserve a spot at the leadership table. This chapter through a research study explores the experiences of women leading in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) fields, set against the backdrop of the challenging environment these disciplines often present. It draws on stories from women who have been at the forefront of STEMM initiatives, offering a diverse collection of insights that underscore the evolving nature of leadership in these areas. Alongside these personal accounts, the chapter contributes to the ongoing conversation about increasing women representation in STEMM.
