Transforming Adivasi Women’s Lives: Getalsud Aajeevika Mahila Sankul Sangathan (GAMSS), Jharkhand
摘要
GAMSS highlights the transformational journey of 6,081 women who have established their unique community presence. Hailing from 24 Adivasi villages in the Ranchi district of Jharkhand, these women are more aware of their rights and strive for meaningful changes through economic, social, and political means. The federation achieved 98% of its target coverage in 2021–2022 and excels in social inclusion, financial services, livelihood generation, food and nutrition, education, and women’s empowerment. The benefits of various funding and learning opportunities offered by external agencies have made excellence possible. Its innovative initiatives, such as the Aajeevika Pashu Sakhi, Aajeevika Farm Fresh, Rani Mistri, and Anusamarthan Didi, have received accolades on various platforms. In the draft of its vision document, GAMSS has tried to entail a roadmap with detailed roles, responsibilities, and duties for all three tiers of the federation for the next five years.
