Gravity exploration, as a traditional geophysical method, has the disadvantages of poor lateral accuracy and difficulty in distinguishing vertical geological bodies. So, it is rarely used for high-precision exploration. But in many regions of the Middle East, High precision geophysical data is scarce. Gravity data remains an important data for early risk exploration. Therefore, studying the reliability and application prospects of gravity anomaly data in the Middle East region is a meaningful work. This paper takes Abu Dhabi as an example to analyze the gravity data situation in areas with high exploration level and abundant seismic data in the Middle East. Based on seismic data, the consistency between gravity anomaly data and actual oil and gas structures was studied. Research suggests that gravity data can effectively indicate the presence of shallow oil structures. However, the interference of low-density salt swell in the Middle East region is very serious, and special attention must be paid when using gravity data to identify reservoirs. Meanwhile, this article takes Iraq as an example to analyze the gravity data situation in areas with limited seismic data in the Middle East. Studied the application prospects of gravity anomaly data in identifying oil and gas structures. Research suggests that satellite gravity data can effectively identify large-scale shallow structures, but cannot identify exploration risks such as faults. In practical applications, even a small amount of two-dimensional seismic data can improve the credibility of gravity exploration results in the region.
