Study on the Characteristics of Cambrian Reservoir of the Luoxi Slope Zone in East Tarim Basin

The Cambrian in East Tarim Basin is a set of Marine carbonate deposits, which is an important exploration layer. Drilling revealed that most of the exploration wells in the Cambrian carbonate rocks have bitumen and oil and gas display in different degrees, among which Yingdong2 well obtained low production flow. At present, the Cambrian carbonate rocks in East Tarim Basin have not achieved a great breakthrough in oil and gas exploration. In this paper, the lithology and reservoir space types of Cambrian reservoirs in the Luoxi slope zone in East Tarim Basin are analyzed by observation and analysis of drilling cores, rock slices and cast slices. Secondly, the types and development characteristics of reservoirs in the study area are analyzed by numerical analysis of formation thickness, reservoir thickness and reservoir to ground ratio. Finally, according to the different physical characteristics, the main controlling factors of reservoir development are analyzed. The analysis shows that basin facies and slope facies are developed in the Cambrian in the study area, and the main lithology is black mudstone, gray and gray argillaceous dolomite. The reservoir space types are mainly intergranular pores, intergranular dissolved pores, intra-granular dissolved pores, micro fractures and karst caves. In the study area, the dolomite of the Upper Cambrian is thick and the reservoir is developed. The dolomite reservoir is mainly composed of Type II reservoirs. The dolomite reservoir is controlled by hydrothermal action and sedimentary facies. The results indicate the lithology, physical characteristics and main controlling factors of the reservoir in the Luoxi slope zone, fill the blank of the study on the characteristics of the Cambrian reservoir in the Luoxi slope zone, and further guide the breakthrough of marine carbonate oil and gas exploration in East Tarim Basin.
