Foam drainage gas production technology is one of the main technologies for stable production of water-production gas wells. In view of the particularity of shale gas wells compared with conventional gas wells in well type, fluid property, gas and water production law, and development mode, it is necessary to further improve the performance of foam drainage agent, foam drainage device, and process flow. Based on on-site experience, the foam discharge agent is improved through optimization and compounding methods. Through a multifunctional and intelligent foam discharge device, and based on on-site management mode and gathering and transportation technology, a matching platform well overall intelligent foam discharge process is formed. The research results show that: ① After improvement, the foaming agent has both foaming and antibacterial and anti-corrosion functions. At 90 ℃ and a dosage of 1.0 g/L, the initial foaming height is greater than 183 mm, the foaming height is greater than 122 mm after 5 min, and the liquid carrying capacity is greater than 148 mL/15 min. The sterilization rate of SRB is 100% with a dosage of 1.0 g/L. ② After the improvement of defoamer, the initial defoaming rate increased by 1.0–3.0%, and the defoaming rate increased by 0.5–0.8% after 3 min; ③ After optimizing the platform device and process flow, a foaming agent device with “single pump rotation injection” and an defoamer injection device with “one well, one pump, and one backup” have been formed, achieving functions such as intelligent liquid dispensing, intelligent injection, remote control, and self diagnosis fault alarm for shale bubble discharge platform. Through pilot testing, the foam drainage gas production technology has been promoted and applied in mid deep shale gas wells in Changning, with good stable production effects. This process is also suitable for deep shale gas blocks such as Chongqing and Sichuan shale gas, and can provide assistance for efficient shale gas development.
