Design and Development of Wearable Microstrip Patch Antenna for ISM Application
摘要
A microstrip antenna with E-shaped radiating patch for wearable devices is proposed in this chapter. The height of this discovered antenna, which is composed of FR4 substrate material, is 1.5 mm, and its permittivity ratio is 4.3. It incorporates a 50 Ω microstrip line and runs at ISM band of radio spectrum. The suggested patch antenna offers a gain of 1.62–2.8 dB with a reflection coefficient of − 11.04 dB, according to the simulation findings. Additionally, the antenna exhibits good impedance matching; with a 2.45 GHz frequency band-wide VSWR of 1.57–1.78 dB. The “eight-shaped” microstrip patch antenna design for wearable applications, which is composed of FR4 substrate material, is another concept that is being suggested. The antenna has a permittivity ratio of 4.3 and a height of 1.5 mm. It employs a 50 Ω microstrip line and works at 4 GHz. The suggested “eight-shaped” microstrip antenna has a reflection coefficient of − 32.89 dB and a gain of 1.6–2.28 dB. The CST microwave studio tool is used to simulate the proposed antenna configuration. The results of the simulation indicate that the antenna achieves satisfactory resonating performance in the specified frequency band.
