Since its introduction to the market in 2008, humanoid NAO robots have been used in the commercial sphere in addition to research and education. Many companies, as well as health centers, use it as an assistant. In our institution, we use 5 NAO robots for research in the field of intelligent manufacturing systems, but also in the field of interaction with people. Priority is given to children aged 4–9, but we also record data for individuals from other age groups. Several case studies are presented in the article. The first one is aimed at the shyness and fear of children during their first contact with the robot in rest and wake up mode. The results are presented in the form of our observation, as well as a questionnaire that the children completed. The second study is focused on determining the stability of children of different age groups, and from this, sufficiently developed muscle and tendon mass, primarily of the lower limbs. At the same time, it presents our experience with speech settings for the Slovak language, operational problems, and their elimination.
