This monograph uses PiH assembly strategies as an entry point to study robotic intelligent assembly. In Chap.  1 , a brief introduction of PiH assembly strategies is first presented, including the reason why this monograph selects PiH assembly as the task. The typical PiH system is divided into manipulators, mating parts, and sensing system. Also, the assembly strategies are divided into two aspects according to high-level planning, namely, (i) model-based strategies and (ii), (iii) learning-based strategies (including (ii) LFDs and (iii) LFE).

In Chap.  1 , a brief introduction of PiH assembly strategies is first presented, including the reason why this monograph selects PiH assembly as the task. The typical PiH system is divided into manipulators, mating parts, and sensing system.
