According to surveys such as the CLASS, this chapter analyzes the current situation and changes of elderly participation in several fields such as labor and employment, primary-level governance, volunteering and network activities and reviews the evolution of policies on elderly social participation in China. On this basis, it summarizes the main achievements, problems, and challenges. Then some countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to involve the elderly in social participation.
