Codetta: Pedagogies of Truth
摘要
Pedagogies of truth refer to teaching methods and approaches that prioritise the discovery of truth. These pedagogies are grounded on the belief that education should not only impart knowledge and skills, but also foster the students’ intellectual and emotional intelligence to gain new insights about themselves, construct new realities and develop the confidence to critically engage with the world around them. Such pedagogical signatures are especially important in an age where masters are no longer gatekeepers of truth. In artistic practice, the search for truth relates to a complete alignment through habits of mind, body, hand, ear, heart and soul. Hence, educational practices that empower students to discover their strengths, limitations and biases manifest a more objective and truthful approach to performing, making and learning in the arts.
