Mangroves have demonstrated high bioactivities to endure challenging environmental conditions. In addition to their major role in protecting the ecology, mangroves are sometimes overused as building materials. As a result, their potential for medical use is often neglected, and it would seem senseless to investigate directly the pharmacologically active chemicals obtained from mangrove species. It has been shown that endophytic bacteria can produce secondary metabolites identical to or comparable to those of the host. Therefore, the investigation of endophytic microbes from mangroves can be a great substitute for coproducing several plant-specific bioactive substances. Mangroves may also be habitat to remarkable endophytic microbes with incredible bioactivities, particularly those that are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, because they are harsh ecosystems. The significance of mangrove microbes in the search for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities is discussed in this chapter.

摘要
