Mangrove ecosystems are among the world’s most productive ecosystems. They are linked to both marine and terrestrial environments and support a wide array of organisms. Microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa, phytoplankton, and archaea play a crucial role in these ecosystems. This chapter provides insights into the microbial diversity in mangroves and how microorganisms can tolerate and enhance plant growth under various environmental conditions. Additionally, microorganisms’ production of natural products, antibiotics, and enzymes is essential and greatly impacts medicine and various industries. Studies on plant–microbe interaction, gene expression regulation, and the effects of secondary metabolites on plant pathogens were also discussed.
