The importance of health monitoring becomes evident when the quality of individuals’ lives is considered in social and economic terms. The increased data sources in health databases in recent years also support this importance. Therefore, researchers have developed many methods for health monitoring, and sensor technologies are at the top of the list. Electrochemical sensors are almost at the forefront of this field, and current technologies combine the advantages of voltammetric determination. Although good progress has been made in electrochemical sensors in general, intelligent sensor-based health systems need to be developed through new technologies for more personalized healthcare. Voltammetric detection methods have good potential and can successfully serve this field. This chapter emphasizes the importance of voltammetric healthcare monitoring. Therefore, it first discusses the types and roles of different working electrodes used in voltammetric methods. Then, healthcare applications are included, and current examples of smartphone-based, telemedicine-based, and wearable systems that remain popular and open to development are given. The designs used for these areas have been examined, and their advantages and disadvantages have been underlined. Finally, considering the increasing importance of health monitoring, the promising potential of voltammetric sensors in combination with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and new materials is emphasized.

摘要
