The Yogyakarta Special Region has established a destination in the Jogja Planning Gallery, where Jogja culture has a unique influence. The objective of this work is to examine the Jogja Planning Gallery from the perspective of the tourism industry. The data was collected through literature studies and analyzed using Miles and Huberman in a descriptive qualitative research method. The findings indicated that the Jogja Planning Gallery has evolved into a tourist destination that encompasses the entirety of Yogyakarta, particularly Jogja’s history and philosophy, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) development planning, and even a future DIY image. The general public aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the DIY journey from its inception to the present through this educational tour. The Jogja Planning Gallery also exhibits Yogyakarta tourism products, culture, and spatial planning, including districts and cities within the Special Region of Yogyakarta. It also featured exhibition rooms and a stage for cultural and artistic performances that showcased Jogja’s unique characteristics. Jogja Planning Gallery has illustrated the intricacy of destinations that tourists can appreciate in terms of architecture, art, culture, history, and souvenirs. This research can serve as a foundation for future research on the Jogja Planning Gallery, which has never been analyzed from a tourism perspective. The Jogja Planning Gallery is currently in the detailed engineering design phase, which means that the physical construction process will only be able to take place in 2024–2025. This research limitation restricts the in-depth analysis of Jogja Planning Gallery destinations as tourist centers.
