Rethinking Destination Quality on Culture-Based: Case Study on Bali as a Tourism Destination

The purpose of this research is to identify the quality of culture-based Bali tourism destination in terms of local wisdom. Implementing destination quality based on culture can create more sustainable destination development by harnessing local understanding that is owned in a destination. The descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study. Data was gathered through interviews and surveys. Interviews were performed with tourism stakeholders, questionnaires were distributed to tourists, and focus group discussions were held. The data analysis technique employed in this study is interactive model analysis. According to the findings of the study, culture-based tourism in Bali is of high quality, as evidenced by how the culture may benefit to tourists, local communities, the tourism industry, and the government. The quality of tourism destinations can contribute to infrastructural improvements and the push for eco-friendly tourism through Tri Hita Karana (THK) local wisdom.
